Older Adult Mental Health Awareness Week
1-10 October 2023

3 October

Please check back on 3 October for more information!

Welcome to Day 3 of Older Adult Mental Health Awareness Week!

Age-Friendly Communities and Contexts of Care

Today's theme is Age-Friendly Communities and Contexts of Care and we will be focusing on resources that share information about the importance of environments that are designed for older people. The various challenges older people face are often increased by spaces that are not designed with "aging in mind".

We will begin with a welcome message from Dr. Enrique Vega Garcia, the Unit Chief of Healthy Life Course at the Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization.

Please enjoy today's content and share it with your peers and colleagues to help everyone learn more about this important topic of older adult mental health.
