Welcome to the launch of Older Adult Mental Health Awareness Week!

Today, we are honoring the United Nations International Day of Older Persons and this year's theme - Fulfilling the Promises of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights for Older Persons: Across Generations.

Up-Coming Event Announcement

  • UNIDOP 2023 has a kick-off event to be broadcast via UN Web TV that will involve a multi-stakeholder dialogue aimed to address the topic: "Fulfilling the Promise of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights for Older Persons Across Generations". This event will take place tomorrow, Monday October 9th from 10 AM - 1 PM EDT. See this event in your local time.
  • Join Dr. Tedros, Director-General, WHO and Mr. Volker Türk, UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, on Monday 9 October at 12:30 CEST (See this event in your local time) for the launch of the WHO/OHCHR joint publication entitled "Mental health, human rights and legislation: guidance and practice”.
